ASK A GENTERN 08/22/2008

Genterns:
I had penile replacement surgery last week through GeneCo. How long must I wait until I can be sexually active again? And when will the swelling go down?
Terrance in LA

Terrance:
The swelling should start to go down over the next few days. If it doesn’t, please contact your surGEN for a follow-up appointment. GeneCo recommends abstaining from sexual intercourse for at least 2 weeks following penile replacement. It can be hard, we know, but its really for the best, to ensure proper healing."
